I was given the opportunity to take the GC Index® and review my profile with one of the founders. It was a fascinating process. The GC Index profiles the ways in which you feel most engaged and energised when it comes to making an impact upon your world and helps you think about how you can play to your strengths and maximise your contribution to a role, project or team.
As you can see from my profile at the bottom of the page I came out as a Strategist-Implementor which suggested that “at my best I will shape strategic plans and deliver them; I will get things done”. But my biggest take home was that everyone is energised by different things, and by recognising and harnessing these individual strengths allows everyone to bring their best to a project or task.
If you would like to get a GC Index profile for yourself or your team get in touch.
And, yes, I am a patent attorney who scores 4 for being a polisher. So when I am reviewing updated claim dependencies in a large claim set, I should remember the GC Index which tells me that “my success is likely to be more dependent upon discipline than the inherent satisfaction I may derive from the task”.
