We are delighted to announce that Evolve’s Claudia Greaves, has recently passed the CIPA Advanced Patent Paralegal Course (APPC). Building on her six years of patent law experience, Claudia completed intensive modules that deepen her expertise in critical areas of IP management:
- The Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT): Gaining in-depth understanding of both the International Phase and the transition into National and Regional phases.
- European Patents (EP): Managing complex EPO procedures, including validations, opposition proceedings, and the new Unitary Patent system.
- Professional Conduct and Ethics: Developing a critical awareness of ethical and legal responsibilities under the IPReg Code of Conduct and the Legal Services Act 2007.
- UK Patents (GB): Mastering advanced knowledge of filing, prosecution, and the intricacies of identifying and restoring lost rights.
The course required Claudia to pass rigorous assessments based on real-life scenarios, demonstrating her ability to analyse and resolve complex IP challenges effectively. Claudia was part of the first cohort of students to complete the course.
